David Dubó, the best Chilean in the history of karate

David Dubó won the karate World Cup on last Sunday with an excellent presentation in Tokio.
David won in the 75 kilograms category, getting the first gold medal to Chile in this sport. He defeated to Basturk (from Turkey) 1-0.
888 competitors of 97 countries attended to the championship in different categories.
David is 22 years old, joining the new generation of athletes that are revolutioning Chile. This victory is other sample of the improvement of Chilean athletes in the lasts.
This title does that David joins to the successful Chileans athletes like Tomás Gozález or Kristel Köbrich.
All of these successes prove that the investments, the training and, mainly, the effort of the athletes are giving good results.

Colo-colo is the only "big team" in semi-finals

Colo-colo defeated Huachipato 4-2, becoming in the only "big team" in semi-finals of the Chilean Soccer League. Universidad Católica and Universidad de Chile (the other "big teams") were eliminated by Rangers and Cobreloa, respectively.
The "UC" draw 1-1, but it isn't enough because Rangers scores 3 goals like away team and this is duplicated, doing that Rangers have more goals.
While the "U" win 3-2, but because of the goals that Cobreloa scored the team was eliminated.
The teams which are in semi-finals are: Colo-colo, Palestino, Rangers and Cobreloa. 
If Colo-colo were eliminated, a "small team" would win the league.

Chile eliminated from World Cup

The U-20 female Chilean soccer team was defeated by New Zealand for 3-4 in the U-20 female FIFA World Cup. This result means the elimination of Chile from the World Cup, because they haven't points and two other teams in their group have more than three points, which causes that the Chileans can't catch up the other teams in the next match.
The Chilean's goals were scored by Daniela Pardo, Francisca Mardones and Daniela Zamora. The New Zealand's goals were done by Renee Leota and Rosie White, this last in three times.
"Las Rojitas" have another match opposite to Nigeria, in Tuesday. In this match, the team cans win its firsts points to don't retire from World Cup with any point.
But it doesn't matter, everyone will remember the effort and the sacrifice that they did. They are beginners and their level is almost as good as a professional team. This suggests that the girls have a very good future and they'll give much happiness to our country.

Spain defeated Argentina and won the Davis Cup

The Davis Cup of this season was for Spain. Fernando Verdasco has played a brilliant match against José Acasuso who played for Argentina; give it the triumph to his country, so the scorer was 3-1 on behald of Spain. 
Verdasco began winning the first set, but Acasuso woke and won next two sets. The final result was 6-3, 6-7 (3), 4-6, 6-3 and 6-1. Finally the Spanish won his match, demonstrated that the importance in Davis cup is the team, in spite of the absence of Rafael Nadal.
And with that attitude the team captained by Emilio Sánchez, won their third Davis Cup, adding to the before achieved in 2000 and 2004.
